Concealers have saved our lives in many ways, whether it's getting rid of the bags under our eyes or covering up our pimples. However, we now get different color concealers to help with these imperfections. Color correcting is using different colored concealers to even out our skin tones. It may seem weird applying vibrant colors on your skin but the outcome is amazing! The best way to understand color correcting is to refer to the color wheel:
The Green Concealer: from the color wheel above we can see that green is opposite red. This therefore means that the green concealer that is once applied will cancel out any redness on ones face as well as pimples.
The Red/Orange concealer: the red/orange concealer is definitely one of my favorites as it demolishes any dark spots on my face and it helps me look as though I get more sleep than what I actually do . Both concealers do the same job, but are colors for different skin tones . The orange concealer is more for individuals with fair skin where the red concealer is good for individuals with darker skin tones.
The Purple Concealer: this is great for brightening dull skin and neutralizing yellow undertones. The Yellow Concealer: this corrector reduces purple and blue undertones and mild redness. The Blue Concealer: neutralizes sollowness and high pigmentation on fair skin.
The white color corrector isn't really a necessity in my opinion but it is used for highlighting. You can apply it in the inner corner of your eyes to help you look more awake and you can apply it on the top of your cheek bones to give you a glow.
To conclude, color correcting shouldn't be expensive. My favorite color corrector concealers are the LA girl pro concealers. It is easy to apply and provide full coverage!
